Four days of film, ideas and young voices

The workshop begins on 5 October and continues on 6, 7 and 8 October 2026 at Europe House Skopje. Daily times will be announced later.

A filmmaking workshop and competition for young storytellers from Kisela Voda.

What story would you tell if your mobile phone became a film camera?

“Film Smart, Leave a Mark” is a project by Kinenova and the Municipality of Kisela Voda for pupils in grades VIII and IX at primary schools in the municipality.

Phase one: your first video story

Pupils create original video stories lasting 2–5 minutes using their own mobile phones or other available devices. Applications go through the school committee, and videos are submitted to the pupil’s school email address.

Two pupils from each school — 16 in total — will proceed to the next phase.

Phase two: filmmaking workshop

Participants will work with director and documentary filmmaker Marija Džidževa, who has experience in film education and workshops with children and young people.

They will explore film language, develop their ideas and discover personal and socially relevant stories. Following the workshop, they will have three days to produce their short films.

Final competition and public screenings

The best three films will receive sponsor-supported prizes. The best works will be screened at the Biljana Beličanec Cultural Centre and its branch in Dračevo.
